My career in real estate development started in the mid 1980s. During all of those years, I worked with many professionals in the business, as well as some that were not so professional. In 2012 I was contacted by Austin Livingston. He was inquiring to see if I had any interest in selling my storage facility in Salt Lake City. I brushed him off to some degree, and told him to check back with me in a few months. We repeated this back and forth several times. I admired his tenacity and his soft but persistent approach.
Eventually, I listed my facility with him and Jason Smith. I asked tough questions, they had good answers, they both know what they are doing. They soon found a buyer and we had a contract. Some zoning issues with the city delayed the closing for nearly a year. Jason and Austin just remained patient and held the deal together. Their perseverance paid off and we closed the sale. A fair transaction for all parties.
I would work with them again for sure.
